In 2026 ReelOzInd! celebrates our 10th anniversary and 11th festival! Our theme is ambang/threshold.

For a decade, this popular and unique bi-national short film festival has been bringing Australian and Indonesian audiences together to celebrate and enjoy the work of talented and emerging filmmakers from both countries.

Short films (max 10 minutes) are in the running to win up to $15,000 in prizes across categories including Best Short Film, Best Fiction, Best Documentary and Best Young Filmmaker.

Submissions have now closed.

Films are judged by a Jury of Indonesian and Australian filmmakers, experts and critics.

The festival launches on 22 October in Melbourne at ACMI and in Makassar at UNM.
Our pop-up festival will run through until 21 December 2026.
